Strange. I'm not sure what the cause of that would be. The achievements unlock in an alarm event right before room_goto_next() is called, so maybe show_message() exits any particular action or script on some PCs. ... wanting to make a game be difficult, but difficulty is only ever viewed as fair if the player can look at any death or hit taken and understand how it happened. I did quite like the art style. It's too bad there were some defects like the bottoms of objects and the ground not always syncing up, or the glow of a couple lava monsters seeping out of the lava boundary. Otherwise the art produced a very nice effect.

The hit-boxes aren't very forgiving in this, seeming often times to go right up to the edge and beyond some of the graphics. Being punished for clipping ledges and spikes when it doesn't appear to have connected is really frustrating, and hard to understand. Any time the player can't understand what's going on, the fun starts going downhill. Particularly aggravating was the section with the mug and then the spike descent (which I think was pretty much then end of the game). I understand ...
