Yes, the challenge is to see how high you can get your score. If you don't get out alive, your score is ZERO. If you're not trying to get out alive, you are missing half the game. There is no bottom to the dungeon, it just gets impossibly difficult around level 11.

Very useful, but there's a typo in the info file. It says that the a key increases the second value, but its the s key.
