If you download the actual sprite sheet, you can copy paste the basic outlines into Game Maker and save them to edit later. Takes longer at first, but you can edit everything by hand if needed. The sprite sheet is called Platform Character Outline by Chumbucket, in Sprite Resources under the Make tab.
