I'm no expert, but I have been using this engine for a while to make a (hopefully) full RPG game, but more zelda style. this engine can be used to make just about any game that includes an overworld, and this one can be used with GM Lite, if you edit something in the textbox object (I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with text and color).

@PokeFan9000 To change what they are saying, you have to edit the creation code of that instance of the obj_NPC. You basically just go into the map, hover your mouse over the specific NPC, and press 'Ctrl+Right Click'. This will bring up a menu, and creation code is on the bottom. Check the currently existing NPC's to see the code, so you can figure out how to make them talk (you can copy & paste too). This works for signs aswell.
