@Faerie Miss Unfortunately, those effects are not intentional. It is a known problem, and would require that I remake the entire game to fix it. The best solution that's been found is to restart your computer, as it ends up being a graphics card mis-communication of some sort. Recently, after starting the game, quitting the game, then playing the game again, it crapped out like in your screenshots. I'm really sorry for this problem, but I'm probably not going to be able to fix it any time soon

The main reason for the lag is the blur filter. I made it on a PC that ran 2GB of RAM (i think). It doesn't run too hot on my laptop though (1GB RAM, poopy graphics card). Usually, I'd fix such a horrible mistake, but the game is so old that I really don't have the time to devote to fixing it, which is a shame. Thanks for the comments though guys!
